Second was Antoine, a member of the Shibari School, who proved that it doesn’t always has to be ‘suspension shibari’, doing his rope-art with Mina sitting on the floor.

Well, to be honest, this took a bit longer then the other shibaris, but almost exclusively because Antoine kept telling stories and jokes, untill he was called to order by Jérome. And look how Mina, like a good pupil, is full of attention for what Antoine is explaining!

Third in the row was Pierre, who participated together with his wife jelana, also a shibari-fan. Pierre stirred up the famous French patriotism, by using a red and a blue rope, wich matched perfectly with Mina’s white blouse, to recreate the French ‘tricolor’.

Next was Bérénice, who needed some convincing from Mina, before she took up the rope. She worked on an inverted suspension, (‘Suspension inversée’). The images speak for themselves, enjoy, hopefully as much I enjoyed it life.

And then there was Nicolas, a Frenchman who was (still is?) living in Japan, where he learned the noble art of shibari. This guy was the discovery of this event. Very strict shibari, very nicely done. And also Mina liked it very much. Nicolas’s sensei ( aka teacher ) is one of Japan’s most famous nawashi (rope-bondage artists), Arisue Go. Now we know where he got the expertise.

And last, but not least, there was Jérome himself. In his own relaxed way, he tied up Mina, not without ‘spanking’ her in a funny way.

So, this concludes our report on the 4th Shibari school meeting. It was a fun and relaxed meeting between like-minded shibari-fans of various skill level. My special thanks goes to all the shibari artists for their ‘performances’, to Mina for all the modelling work and finally to Jérome for the invitation and the hospitality. That day I drove 600km back and forth, but it was more than worth it!
