Do I need to have modeling experience?

by Andre Marchandise - Glamour/Fetish photographer on January 1, 2000

There are no special requirements needed, just a sound interest in modelling. Experience as a model is NOT a must, but I prefer to work with people with a powerful image and a penetrating gaze. If you have a project or modelling style, especially alternative styles like gothic, punk, grunge, retro, pin-up,fetish, ….. that can [...]

by Andre Marchandise - Glamour/Fetish photographer on January 1, 2000

Yes, well most of the time.
I work with LannaMarras, who I’ve worked with for the Praga Khan theater show Code Red, the Frame by frame show, the rock concerts of Praga Khan and the Erotikon theatre show.
She really is a wonderful woman and also designs some props, like masks, for me. For the Code [...]

I don’t have my own studio (yet), but I have access to a professional studio, south of Antwerp.

Why is there a contract and what’s in it?

by Andre Marchandise - Glamour/Fetish photographer on January 1, 2000

This is to make sure both parties know exactly what’s expected from them and what’s not allowed.
The contract covers things like:
- usage of the images (portfolio, promotion, contests,..)
- copyright ownership
- no usage of the image on pornographic sites
- no commercial usage without mutual consent, ie. compensation.
- limits [...]

Can I bring someone to the photo-shoot?

by Andre Marchandise - Glamour/Fetish photographer on January 1, 2000

Yes, no problem.
For models under 18, I prefer they bring someone along. And if your Mam supports your modeling, that’s the one to accompany you!
But to be honest, I prefer you bring someone along of the female gender, who likes the modeling style you’ve applied for.
IMPORTANT: The following rules apply for your escort:
An escort is [...]

I’m interested in a fetish/nude photo-shoot, but I’m only 17. Is that OK?

by Andre Marchandise - Glamour/Fetish photographer on January 1, 2000

This is definitely a NO-NO for me. End of discussion.
But, if you’re under 18, you can apply for a different style like Gothic, EGL, Victorian, …. as long as no nudity is involved.
PS: This does not imply that a fetish photo-shoot has to be associated with nude, au contraire.
