A few days ago, Mina announced she’s stopping all her modeling activities. Sadly, because she was a fine model to work with. I had the pleasure of working with Mina a few years ago when she visited Antwerp, together with her friend and clothing designer Sylvain Coeur-Jolly. And of course, how can we forget, the nice afternoon we’ve spend at CaptiveCulture’s home during the 4th edition of the Shibari School.

“I already announced it through my Facebook account but maybe lot of you aren’t my contacts on it… So you may wander why there is no more news here….

Well, I stopped all my modelling and strip-tease activities… However, I would be present at the “Bal des Supplices” on September 25th in Lyon ( doing a catwalk for Hedony Design latex clothing ), and at the “Fetish/BDSM festival” in Brussels the 30 and October 31 ( private shibari shootings (the last ones) and performing for a shibari performance with my friend Berenice ).

The reasons are varied and I would not change my opinion on this subject. Don’t worry I’m not ill and I don’t stop for bad reasons. I just deeply feel it’s time for me to start a new life.

The biggest “Contradictio in terminis”

This is probably the biggest “Contradictio in terminis” I’ve read in years, namely the title of a book “How We Test Software at Microsoft®” (Pro – Best Practices) written by Alan Page, Ken Johnston. I really mean the title, haven’t read the book!

Using the words “Microsoft®” and “testing” in the same sentence can damage your health!

Microsoft is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries.

The Dark Side of Working With ‘No show’ Models

This is when you set up a shoot with a model and then she doesn’t show up. I differentiate between a no show and a cancellation. If a model calls me and tells me she isn’t coming before the shoot actually happens, that’s a cancellation. I still don’t like it, but I can deal with it. The more lead time the better.

The Shibari School

Although this event is called the ‘Shibari school’, it’s not the intent to actually teach people how to “knot”. It’s more of a reunion where shibari artist of various
skill level show the other participants their latest trick of the trade. Speaking of skill level, if you have two top shibari artists like Phillipe Boxis and Jérome
present at the meeting, you can imagine the level of competence exhibited.
